- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2-1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cream together butter and sugar.
- Add vanilla and eggs, mix well.
- Fold in the remaining dry ingredients of flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Roll out half of dough at a time 1/4 inch thick - use flour under dough and on dough during rolling.
- Arrange cookies 2 inches apart on non-stick cookie sheet.
- Bake 6-8 minutes at 375 degrees.
