Clementine Strawberry Smoothies

I’m joining a bunch of blogger friends in surprising Regan Miller Jones for her 40th birthday by showering her with (hopefully) 40 different recipes in honor of this milestone birthday!  How cool is that!  A virtual surprise party!  Get ready to lift your glass – filled with a Clementine Strawberry Smoothie!

Happy Birthday Regan!

Here’s how Regan has inspired me in my blogging career:

I first met Regan when I took a food photography class from her back in 2013 in Houston, Texas at the Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo.  She is a dynamite food photographer and I was sooo not.  (Still not, but improving thanks to Regan!)

Taking pictures of food takes tons of practice and a lot of it I received at this class.  My favorite part?  When we were able to go around to all the create-a-food-photo stations with prepared food and props and attempt our hand at food styling as well as food photography.  I remember watching Regan set up her shots and learning a ton!

I am grateful to Regan for all the knowledge she has shared with me and so many other registered dietitians through food photography tips and tricks, helping create the Recipe ReDux monthly blog link up and helping to host the first annual Blog Brulee blogging conference to help so many dietitians set their blogs on fire.

Here’s to you Regan – I hope you enjoy this middle-of-winter Clementine Strawberry Smoothie.  The small but mighty Clementines used in this recipe remind me of you – and all you do for our profession!
