Family Memories are made in the Kitchen

Welcome to my new blog!  It has been a long time coming and my hope for this blog will be to share insights, tips and recipes as a registered dietitian and a mother who knows that practicality is important.  Every day, I strive to feed my family healthy options with a heavy dose of flavor and fun.  What drives me is the love I have for my family and I share that love through the food I prepare for them, in a way, my own Table Blessings.  So here you will find my strategies of how I nourish my family with love through food.

Hey Jen, great blog! I really like how you have a focus on children, I think it’s really important to get kids involved in health and how directly their relationship with food is with it.
I’m going to school to become a Registered Dietitian, do you have any advice or tips?

      Hi Sarah,
Nice to meet you in the internet world! My advice to you in the field of dietetics is to keep your options wide open, and get lots of experience in different areas. The thing I love about being a dietitian is that it is such a practical career – everyone eats! And if you think about it that way, the possibilities of what you can do are really endless. So dive right in, be proactive and look for learning opportunites wherever you go – I have been a dietitian for over 10 years and I still learn something every day. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions!
      Jen
